I have a secret! I am horrible, absolutely terrible, at waiting until Christmas to find out what my presents are. I've been like this my entire life! My brother can tell you stories of me sneaking under the Christmas tree to open my presents to see what they were and then wrapping them back up so that no one would ever know! Even now, I will try and sneak it out of Luke what he's getting me! I even remember in college once, begging Jennifer to tell me what Kara had gotten me! Sorry Kara! :) I'm just terrible with waiting for a surprise!
Well, looks like the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree! A couple of weeks ago when Aunt Kristi and Uncle Hendu were here and watched Leah and Lane so that Luke and I could go out to dinner, we returned home to Leah having a confession to make. Uncle Hendu reminded her that she needed to tell Mommy and Daddy something. Apparently, she had opened a few corners on some presents and felt really guilty about it so she told Uncle Hendu what she had done. I could not believe it! Like mother, like daughter!
And, according to my dad, my mom was/is the same way! Three generations of present peakers!!!!! Oh dear!!!!!

Christmas Jammies
Each night for the week of Christmas, I had matching pairs of jammies for Leah and Lane. I was successful in getting them dressed accordingly two of those nights (that left several pairs of Christmas jammies still on hangers to be worn for upcoming holidays.....Christmas jammies on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.....why not! That's my new reality, I guess! I'll try again next year in hopes of at least beating my record by one additional night!
And just a few sweet pics from this particular night! Leah wanted to sing her brother some songs! She is CRAZY about this little guy, just CRAZY! She could not love him more!

Past Due iPhone Pics
I was without a computer for about a month which meant I couldn't upload pics from my phone to the blog! Now that everything's back in action, I want to make sure I don't forget some of these! They're in no particular order and are a hodge podge of pics from my phone, Luke's and my Dad's! Sweet memories I don't want to forget!
Sweet pics from the hospital!
A sweet pic we sent to Daddy while he was in North Carolina when Laney Bug was just one week old!
Daddy and "Tinana" went on a little date to In-N-Out Burger one afternoon before he left on that trip!
We decided months ago that blue is his color!
A pumpkin patch hay ride!
Sweet baby boy!
Papaw was Lane's very first visitor at the hospital!
Nana and Papaw helped us out TREMENDOUSLY by taking Leah everywhere she needed to be right after Lane was born. When they got home from dance class, they had to show me what they had learned!
Some of the sweet pics we sent Daddy while he was out of town!
While he was away I let Leah sleep in bed with Lane and I, so I sent Luke a pic of me sleeping with my two sweet babies!
Right after we had our family pictures/Lane's newborn pics taken we went out to lunch at Texas Roadhouse. Of course I had to document Lane's first restaurant outing! He slept through it all!
Shopping with Mommy!
Looking like a stud in the cute little outfit from Aunt Rachael and Uncle Tommy!
Nana and Mimi always get special ornaments for our Christmas tree for us each year. Here is Lane with his for this year. Sister has a monkey ornament so Nana thought Laney Bug needed one too! I think he likes it!
Thanksgiving grocery shopping with Mommy!
Sporting her new leg warmers to dance class!
Picking out her own potatoes for Stone Soup at preschool!
Somebody snuck into the guest bed!
Helping bake cookies for puppy preschool!
Trying on her new Christmas dress-up play dress that Mimi made her!
One of our roadside breaks on our way to Disneyland!!!!!
The night I decided he had outgrown the sink!
"Yeah, I'm cool!"
If this picture doesn't say future star linebacker, I don't know what does!
He might be tough, but he still melts his Mama's heart!
Just because I have very few pics of him with his pa pa (and WAY TOO MANY of Sister with hers)!
Sporting his Christmas jammies! Does he not look like a little man to you? Cracks me up! I mean with Leah, I could see how people might've thought she looked like a boy if she wasn't dressed in pink with a bow in her hair, but even if I dressed this little guy in pink, I don't think there's any mistaking that he looks like a little man!

Spa Day With Mommy
Leah was in much need of a haircut before going back to school next week, so I asked Jenna if she could trim it while my color sat. Of course she said yes so off to the spa we went!
Before
And after! Just beautiful!

Two Month Check-Up & A Date
Yesterday morning Luke and I took Lane in to visit Dr. Sherman for his two-month well visit! Everything checked out just perfectly! Dr. Sherman did recommend that we start giving him 1 ml of Poly-Vi-Sol (an infant multivitamin drop) per day to give him a little dose of Vitamin D since he is exclusively breast-fed. This is new to me because Leah was never exclusively breast-fed since we had to supplement her with formula from the very beginning (starting on day 5). The poor little guy had to get three shots plus drink the Rotavirus vaccine. Poor little guy! I was prepared for it to be a long night after the shots but I didn't even need to give him Tylenol! He just needed a little extra cuddling that afternoon! He was a trooper and still slept through the night (from 10 to 7 in the morning)! I love this little guy!
Weight: 13 pounds (This seems HUGE to me but it still only puts him in the 45th%!)
Height: 23 1/4 inches (32nd%)
Head Circumference: 38 1/2 cm (12th%)
Kind of funny.....I guess Luke had bigger ears when he was little so his brother always used to make fun of him. Well, now that Lane's head is measuring small, Luke has decided that he must have had normal sized ears but with a small head.
While we took Lane to the doctor, Nora came over to babysit Leah. They had the best time! After we got home Luke took Leah on a very special daddy/daughter date while I stayed home and cuddled with Laney Bug!
Luke wanted to take her to BJ's for lunch, but Leah wanted to go to Mike's Diner for funny face pancakes! They then went to the movies to watch the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, Chipwrecked! She loved it, of course, and they had the best time!
Waiting for Dr. Sherman to come in!

And finally, I got an exciting delivery today!!!!! A new iPhone case! Luke was in major need of a new one and he really liked the one I had so I made a deal with him.....if he would order me a personalized one he could have my black one! I must say, he did good!
