Hello second trimester!
*The belly's only obvious when I wear something tighter fitting. I can totally hide it with looser tops. I just pulled this shirt tight to expose the belly!
Pregnancy Highlights:
Size of Baby: Baby Hendricks is 3 1/2 inches (about the size of a lemon) and weighs 1 1/2 ounces.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: ????? Won't know until my appointment next week!
Maternity Clothes: Not yet!
Gender: Leah insists that it's a girl. I told her that the baby might be a boy and she informed me that it was not a boy, but a girl!
Movement: Not yet!
Sleep: I'm sleeping great! I'm a side sleeper anyways so I haven't had to make any adjustments yet.
What I Miss: I was totally jealous of Luke's Sangria tonight at dinner! This is one of my favorites!
Cravings: None yet!
Symptoms: None really! I'm so thankful that I haven't had heartburn yet because when I was pregnant with Leah I couldn't go five minutes without a Tums. I'm wondering if this baby is going to be bald!
Best Moment This Week: Luke finally got to feel the hard baby bump! It's always easier to feel when I have a full bladder first thing in the morning! It's so crazy that my belly is growing but it's not really from the "baby bump". It's just everything else in my stomach shifting up. Crazy! My best "non-family/pregnancy" moment this week was getting a very special delivery from Texas! I actually received my order a couple of weeks ago only to open the box and find that I had ordered the wrong thing! Talk about crazy pregnancy brain! They were super super nice though and just had me ship them back the other (Smoky, I think it was) and they replaced it with the one we love.....roasted garlic! For some reason, I can't find it at my local grocery store anymore. Thank goodness for the internet! This order will last us about a month, two if we're lucky!
In Leah news.....she is 100% potty trained! She is wearing panties 24 hours a day, even during naps and overnight! She is doing AMAZING!!!!! We don't even have to ask her to go potty, she just runs to the bathroom when she has to go! I'm so so thankful that we didn't push her and that we waited until she was ready! I really feel like she potty trained herself! She doesn't even need Skittles or suckers for potty treats anymore! AND she LOVES public restrooms! She usually has to go more than once when we're out somewhere, although the second time is always a "falst alarm". We're so proud of our big girl!
Today we went to visit her new preschool that she'll be going to in the fall! We got to meet her teacher, see her classroom and she even got to play on the playground with one of the classes! She was in love! Her teacher is really sweet so we're very excited about next year! We even got to meet another little girl, Kylie, who will be in her class with her next year! Leah saw some of the other kids backpacks and lunch bags and she has already made her request for a "blue backpack" (just because she saw one, pink is definitely her favorite color) and a "princess lunch bag". Imagine that! We went out to lunch at Noodles & Company afterwards! So good! Thanks for the recommendation Rach!
We went out to dinner tonight and all was well until Leah leaned on the table and knocked over a glass of water. Water went everywhere! I was so embarrassed! It was a complete accident but I still couldn't help but turn ten shades of red! The waiter was on his hands and knees cleaning it up. If that wasn't enough, they came and placed a "Caution, Wet" (I'm not sure if that's really what it said but it was big and yellow) by our table. BUT they didn't put the caution sign where the water spilled, they put it beside Leah's chair on the opposite end of the table. I probably don't even need to tell you that we left a BIG tip! The owners, though, were super super nice to Leah and even told her that if she ate her dinner they would bring her some chocolate chip cookies! They did.....warm and fresh! I don't know how in the world we're ever going to go out to eat with two kiddos!
