We kicked off our Halloween festivities tonight with trick-or-treating at Fairytale Town. It was so much fun! A very special thank you to Ella and the Malekians for coming up with the idea and inviting us! There were lots of trick-or-treating stations set up inside the park for the kids to get candy and also craft stations. Of course, all of the fun structures at Fairytale Town were a hit as always! There was also face painting, a puppet show and snacks all of which we didn't participate in. The entire park had been transformed to fit the Halloween theme of the night.....Grimm Brothers' Fairytales. This was the 26th annual Safe and Super Halloween hosted by Fairytale Town, and I can already tell you that I have plans on attending the 27th. The kids loved it and had a blast!
Leah decided a couple of months ago that she wanted to be Pocahontas for Halloween. I'm not big on "character" costumes so we settled for just an Indian, although she still calls herself Pocahontas. I also LOVE coordinating costumes for siblings so Lane was a cowboy by default. He was the most handsome cowboy I've ever seen in my entire life, I must say, and it was very fitting since he is named after a bull rider! Luke and I wanted to join in the fun as well so we were a family of cowboys and Indians!
Pics before we left the house.
Let's do this!
Ella was so excited to see Leah!
Ella and her Mama were adorable 50's girls!
Leah was so good with Ella and held her hand as they trick-or-treated and worked their way through the crowds. She had to strike a pose for me in this picture!

First trick-or-treat station! Leah was the BIGGEST sweetheart! She told everyone "trick-or-treat" to get her candy and then said "Thank you, Happy Halloween" in the clearest, sweetest voice while looking the treat givers directly in the eyes. This was all her idea as she told me what she was planning on saying earlier in the day. I LOVE this little girl so much! As if this weren't enough, she shared several of her pieces of candy with Ella. She would say "I'm going to share this one with Ella" and would then put it into Ella's bag. On our way home she told us that she gave Ella her pineapple candy because she doesn't really like pineapple. Ha! (It was actually Whoppers and an Almond Joy that she shared with her.) Lane got a package of Whoppers at the first stop and that's all he needed for the rest of the night. He was as content as could be just chilling in the wagon holding on to his Whoppers. I LOVE my sweet, laid back boy so much too!

My Indian could not wait to go inside the teepee! We had to beg her to leave. She may have liked playing in the teepee more than getting candy! She definitely gets into full character mode when she's in a costume! She even "started a fire" inside the teepee!
"I've got my Whoppers and I'm good!"
Even cowboys get sleepy and need to snuggle with their blankies. I couldn't get over his tiny cowboy boots hiding under his chaps just hanging in the wagon.
Having fun!
Crafts!
The little cowboy enjoyed his first sucker in its entirety while Leah and I were doing a craft inside the castle.
Night night Fairytale Town! Thank you for the fun Halloween memories!
We had one sleepy cowboy when we pulled into the garage.
